Maxcom, a quad-play communications service provider in Mexico, has selected NetCracker for its OSS transformation project to improve its order-to-cash process and network design, build and optimization capabilities.
As part of the deal, NetCracker will supply its OSS offerings including Resource Inventory, Service Inventory, Service Information Management, Service Order Management, Service Activation and Service Problem Management solutions.
In order to replace Maxcom’s existing third-party OSS solution, NetCracker will create a centralized logical inventory for Maxcom’s legacy and next-generation networks and services, which will streamline Maxcom’s service fulfillment processes and improve the quad-play provider’s ability to manage network service topology, connectivity assignments as well as network configuration and status information.
The new solution will provide Maxcom with end-to-end capacity management functionality and enable greater design and analysis capabilities to accelerate network planning projects, improve network resource utilization and increase return on its network technology investments.
Miguel Ceballos, COO at Maxcom, said: “With the new capabilities NetCracker will enable for Maxcom, we can boost time to market, enhance resource utilization and reduce OpEx and CapEx to improve return on investment.”
NetCracker’s OSS solution will enable Maxcom to strengthen its control over network resources and service provisioning processes, driving greater service fulfillment accuracy across its territories and reducing its network-related Opex and Capex.
Acceleration of Maxcom’s order fulfillment and new service introduction processes will improve overall customer experience by speeding its responsiveness to customer requests and help it meet the growing demand for service innovation while improving its overall cost structure.
