Quikr app to be pre-loaded on Nokia phones in India

 

 

Quikr, the
horizontal classifieds in India, announced that it will showcase its
capabilities at Nokia World 2011, a prestigious global industry event being
held in London.

Pranay Chulet,
CEO, Quikr will take part in “The Rise of the planet of the Apps”, a power
packed panel discussion on the burgeoning app economy and the opportunity it
offers to developers across the globe.

“We are excited
to see Quikr participating in Nokia World. The mobile application industry is
easily the fastest growing sector in the world and we have seen some of the
most talented developers coming from India,” said D Shivakumar, VP and managing
director, Nokia India.

Quikr also showcased its app at Nokia World. Quikr offers
a web and mobile-based classifieds platform that addresses a wide variety of
local commerce needs. More than 18 million consumers across India visit Quikr
every month to sell, buy, rent or find things ranging from laptops to mobile
phones to cars to real estate to jobs and everything in between.

of its relationship with Nokia India, the Quikr app has been pre-loaded on
Nokia’s Series 40 mobile phones sold in India, enabling Nokia consumers to buy,
sell and find things they need using their mobile devices.

 

Quikr has
also collaborated with Nokia on developing apps for the Symbian and Windows
Phone 7 platforms and its apps are also available for download from the Nokia
Store for Nokia consumers .
