Ooredoo has launched its mobile money solution M-Pitesan that enables mobile phone users in Myanmar to make instant money transfers and payments.
M-Pitesan mobile money service is supported by advanced technology, customer security features and 24×7 customer support for mobile users.
Ooredoo plans to add new features including QR code payments for goods and services, and bill payments for utilities and municipal services.
Ooredoo said M-Pitesan enables money transfers between mobile numbers through a dedicated mobile wallet for Ooredoo customers or an Ooredoo store for non-registered users. In addition, M-Pitesan is the only mobile money service provider in Myanmar that offers real-time tracking between user bank accounts (CB Bank) and the mobile wallet.
Ooredoo has 2,400 M-Pitesan agents in Yangon, Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago and Taunggyi. Ooredoo plans to add another 7,500 agents to expand its network in future especially in rural and underserved regions.
