Telecom Lead Europe: ZTE Corporation, a Chinese telecom
gear maker, has inked a general distribution deal with Germany-based VITEC
Distribution, for selling video conferencing systems in Germany.
The co-operation with VITEC will allow ZTE Deutschland
expand enterprise channel business in Germany.
With this deal, ZTE along with VITEC will be able to
jointly market video conferencing terminals and servers to enterprise
customers.
Wilhelm Mettner, CEO, VITEC Group, said that ZTE’s
experience in the mobile sector will provide the company with an advantage in
the video conferencing market.
The T700 HD video conferencing terminal, ZTE’s flagship
product, has been designed specifically to meet the needs of enterprise
customers. Easily installed into meeting rooms, the device features 1080p
resolution and supports broadband audio. The T700 HD video terminal delivers
excellent audio and video signal, perfect for a business environment.
ZTE’s ZXV10 M900 HD video conferencing server that
supports up to 20 end user devices and 720p, 1080i, 1080p high definition and
broadband audio will be marketed in Germany.
ZTE has also introduced cost-effective video-conferencing
solutions for SMEs in the country.
John Lee, general manager, ZTE Germany, said that the
company’s aim is to high-end enterprise products affordable for medium and
smaller businesses.
Lee added that the new distribution partner VITEC will
help ZTE to foster the mid-tier market sector in Germany by delivering
cost-efficient, easy-to-use and interoperable solutions.
ZTE claims that it has delivered more than 100,000 video
conference endpoints worldwide including the US, UK and Italy.
The company said that its sales revenue increased 70
percent year-on-year in the enterprise market for the first half of 2012.
ZTE selects Essedi as distributor of videoconference solutions
in Italy
Recently, ZTE Corporation entered into a partnership with
Essedi for the distribution of ZTE videoconferencing and video-communication
solutions (VCS) in the country.
