Westcon buys PT Netpoleon to strengthen security and unified communications portfolio

By Telecom Lead Team: Westcon Group, a distributor of
unified communications, network infrastructure, data center, and security
solutions, has acquired the business of PT Netpoleon, a distributor of
security, networking and convergence solutions in Indonesia.

Financial terms of today’s transaction were not
disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens Westcon’s extensive security,
networking and unified communications portfolio.  It also marks the
company’s first significant presence in Indonesia, building on Westcon’s global
footprint in the ASEAN market.

PT Netpoleon additionally provides channel partners with
a broad array of services — ranging from managed services and maintenance to

executive vice president, Asia Pacific, Westcon Group.

As one of Southeast Asia’s fastest growing economies,
the region is quickly becoming one of the world’s most important political and
economic success stories,” said Edward Lim, Founder, PT Netpoleon.
