Telecom Lead India: WatchGuard Technologies, a provider
of business security solutions, has promoted Scott Robertson from country
manager, Australia/New Zealand to vice president of Asia Pacific Sales.
In this new role, Robertson will oversee WatchGuard’s
Asia Pacific sales, which includes general oversight of South Korea, Japan,
South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, China and India.
Asia Pacific continues to be one of WatchGuard’s
high-growth markets. Given Scott’s consistent record of sales growth, his
hands-on experience, and his unyielding commitment to his channel partners,
Scott will prove to be a tremendous asset in growing our presence throughout
Asia Pacific,” said Joe Wang, CEO of WatchGuard Technologies.
Robertson has been working with WatchGuard for five
years. He replaced Terry Haas who has stepped down for personal reasons.
Robertson has 20 years’ experience in the IT industry.

experience I have gained in the Australia/New Zealand market to not only
sustain, but significantly boost our success in the Asia Pacific region, said

Prior to joining WatchGuard, Robertson was general
manager Asia Pacific for CRYPTOCard, where he held overall responsibility for
the organization’s establishment and business growth in the region, including
customer acquisition, marketing and partner development.
A few months back, WatchGuard Technologies launched a new small business security appliance, the WatchGuard
XTM 330.
The WatchGuard XTM 330 appliance provides advanced
network protection in an all-in-one rack-mount gateway security appliance and
is ideal for businesses with 30 to 50 users.
