VIAVI revenue up 12% to $219 million, net loss of $8.7 million

VIAVI posted revenue of $219.4 million (+12 percent) and net loss of $8.7 million in its third fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2018.

VIAVI has generated revenue of $127 million (+22.8 percent) from Network Enablement, $30.1 million (+4.9 percent) from Service Enablement and $62.3 million (–2.5 percent) from Optical Security and Performance Products business.

VIAVI completed the acquisition of the AvComm and Wireless Test and Measurement businesses of Cobham during the quarter. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings in fiscal Q4.

VIAVI CEO Oleg Khaykin said: “We are excited about the growth opportunities in the 5G wireless market and AvComm’s military, public safety and avionics test markets.”

Americas, Asia-Pacific and EMEA customers represented 44.2 percent, 29.2 percent and 26.6 percent, respectively, of total net revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.
