Verizon Wireless and FuzeBox announced the launch of Fuze
Meeting, a technology solution to bring cloud-based high-definition (HD)
content collaboration and multi-party video conferencing to small and
medium-sized businesses and enterprise customers.
Fuze Meeting will now be available via the Business
Solutions Alliance (BSA) Program on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
With Fuze Meeting, users have the ability to start
multi-party HD video conferences from their smartphones, and they can add
documents for cross-platform HD content collaboration from virtually anywhere
and on any smartphone device, regardless of its operating system.
Fuze Meeting’s easy-to-use real-time collaboration tools
and intuitive elegant user interface (UI) on tablets and smartphones make it a
must-have solution for today’s mobile workforce.
The Fuze Meeting video conference solution can provide
benefits to customers across a number of industries, including professional
services, healthcare, education and finance. For example, in the
healthcare industry, medical staff can remotely access patient X-rays, obtain
live video consultation with doctors, and instantly collaborate with a pool of
experts through video conferencing capabilities.
In the creative services industry, agencies can review
comps and graphics in real time with their clients, and, in turn, can make
annotations to provide feedback, thereby saving time and delivering the
campaign quicker.
The interoperability of Fuze Meeting with existing video
conferencing and telepresence solutions is of tremendous value to Verizon
Wireless business customers, enabling them to extend the reach of video
conferencing and collaboration beyond the boardroom to the entire workforce.
“In the last few years, telepresence and video
conferencing have advanced to the next echelon, and, with 4G, we are moving
business capabilities to the next level,” said Michael Toto, director,
Enterprise and Government Partnerships, Verizon Wireless.
As tablets and mobile devices continue to advance their
capabilities and get adopted as de facto tools in the business environment,
video collaboration is becoming mainstream for diagnostics, analysis,
transactions and many other drivers that companies rely on.
FuzeBox
is delivering a perfect meeting place for the two technologies, offering
high-quality, user-friendly solutions to a wide range of industries and
customers, and the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network ties them all together.
The Verizon Wireless
BSA Program was created to serve mobile application software developers,
best-of-breed integrators, service providers and other business entities for
the development, marketing, sale and delivery of wireless data solutions to
small and medium-sized business and enterprise customers.
“Verizon Wireless and FuzeBox will bring users a new
era of mobile productivity,” said Jeff Cavins, chief executive officer,
FuzeBox.
“Corporate customers will finally be able to take
full advantage of powerful cloud-based tools, such as Fuze Meeting, in
conjunction with Verizon Wireless’ market-defining 4G LTE network, allowing
users to have freedom of choice and location when meeting or collaborating with
one another. No matter what your industry, collaboration with customers,
partners and other stakeholders is paramount to streamlining costs and boosting
efficiency,” Cavins added.
Verizon recently announced that it is adding
Mobile Satellite Solutions to its Private IP service suite, combining a highly
reliable connection with portable satellite technology to provide services
where traditional terrestrial services are unavailable, unreliable or
expensive.
