Lead Team: Tulip Data Center Services has recently launched its Bengaluru Data Center,
Tulip Data City (TDC).
TDC is
Asia’s largest and the world’s third largest Data center.
The Tulip
Data City is a multi-tiered facility built to tier 4 and tier 3
standards. Large hosted Data Center facilities are multi-tenanted, and
more efficient than smaller facilities, therefore saving huge amounts of power.
This will be
the most green and the most power efficient data center in India. This facility
has an extremely high power utilization efficiency of around 1.5 compared to
the industry average of over 2 and is expected to save close to 35 MW power at
full capacity.
It is spread
across 0.9 million sq.ft. with a seating capacity up to 1500. This facility has
the capacity to house upto 12,000 racks, backed by up to 100 MW of Power. This
facility is equipped with an integrated building management systems, which
ensures management of every component of the data centre to include power,
cooling, security and air-conditioning.
IBM provided
design consultancy
services for overall data center space along with turnkey execution to build
the first phase of the data center.
