Tigo Tanzania, a Millicom company, has set up its Tigo Business unit to address the demands of the country’s large enterprises and SMBs.
The company will launch new services in the third quarter of 2014 by deploying Tigo’s existing fiber network and expanding it.
The company is planning to deploy cable services to consumers in relevant urban areas and expects a pilot service to be underway later in 2014.
“We are now taking the next step by creating a high-speed opportunity that can help transform companies’ performance and support growth in the local economy,” said Tigo’s General Manager Diego Gutierrez.
