India has
launched new Storage Area Management Solution (SAM) for network
infrastructures.

The company said that its SAM system reduces the
bulkiness of cabling and connectors in the data center by up to 80 percent and
enable high-density deployment with fewer costly cabinet or infrastructure
upgrades.

The SAM solution will add enhanced value to the existing
SAN cabling; thereby helping our customers cut costs while driving better
operational efficiencies. SAM will help in optimal utilization of time, rack
space utilization and reduce the overall cost associated with power and cooling
consumption,” said K.K. Shetty, director – TE Enterprise & Telecom
Networks, India and SAARC.

The company added that its solution helps in optimizing
the network performance and reduces the complexity of the data centre
environment.

Furthermore, the solution improves the airflow to server
racks that allows the racks to cool more efficiently.

The solution also improves operational efficiencies and
de-clutters one’s rack for a highly organized, eco-friendly network
infrastructure.

The company claims that its SAM solution delivers
operational efficiency to Storage Area Network (SAN) cabling and helps
customers. The new solution is compliant to RoHS and simplifies and expedites
port access.

In today’s business scenario, companies are facing
increasing complexity in managing large quantities of devices and data relating
to storage. Current estimates indicate that the amount of data one manages,
maintains and processes is increasing at the rate of 60 per cent every year.”
said Mylaraiah, J N, country manager, Technical, Enterprise Networks – India.
