Sunrise Telecom to demonstrate ITU-T Y.1564 Ethernet Service Activation Solution

Sunrise Telecom announced it will showcase Intellisam,
its full implementation of the ITU-T Y.1564 Carrier Ethernet Service Activation
standard at the Carrier Ethernet interoperability event at the Carrier Ethernet
World Congress (CEWC) 2011. The event is organized by European Advanced
Networking Test Center (EANTC).

IntelliSAM provides the key procedures required to test,
troubleshoot and accept today’s sophisticated Carrier Ethernet services. With
these procedures, service providers can demonstrate proper service
configuration and performance from User Network Interface (UNI) to UNI, giving
total confidence that the SLA will be met according to the bandwidth profile
purchased and the promised class of service.

These efficient procedures save technicians’ time while
making sure that all the problems are eliminated from service before it is
handed over to the customer, enhancing the customer experience and reducing
customer churn.

Sunrise Telecom introduced the industry’s first full Y.1564 bandwidth profile test
configuration capability, ensuring service providers and Carrier Ethernet users
that services meet performance objectives for both bursty and continuous-rate
traffic.

At CEWC, the vendors will showcase a single interoperable
multi-vendor Carrier Ethernet network supporting MEF-defined business services
and mobile backhaul solutions. The showcase will demonstrate the results of a
two-week hot-staging at EANTC
including mobile backhaul synchronization, Ethernet OAM implementations
and high availability protocols.

The tests will validate the interoperability of different
transport technologies including MPLS-TP solutions and PBB-TE/VPLS
interworking. In addition, a range of microwave solutions will be tested in a
Carrier Ethernet services context.

Sunrise Telecom will also showcase the company’s full
lineup of advanced network test and validation solutions including the
company’s RxT Smart Productivity Test Platform at the Carrier Ethernet World
Congress.

Sunrise Telecom recently announced
RxT, smart productivity test platform, offering a complete solution for mobile
backhaul installation and service activation in a single unit.

The RxT addresses
the wide range of service verification requirements network operators face when
deploying mobile backhaul infrastructure to enable next-generation mobile
communications and smart phone applications.
