2011 organized by FICCI has received poor response from the industry. Many big
industry players including Nokia Siemens Networks, Motorola and Huawei were
absent.
The number of
visitors was also less as compared with previous years, a senior telecom
ministry official said.
Organizers
claim that over 235 companies have participated India Telecom 2011 to garner
greater awareness and forge new partnerships with potential stakeholders and
buyers.
Many important
equipment vendors did not showcase any new technologies. Ericsson showcased
their cloud offerings which will be launched soon globally.

participants include Aircel, Alphion India, Alvarion, Bharti Airtel, BSNL,
CDOT, Delta Power, Ericsson, Escorts, ITI Limited, MTNL, NEC, Orckit Corrigent,
Philips, Reliance Communications Limited, Selvon Instruments, Shyam

Tulip Telecom, Vodafone, ZTE and more.
Organizers said
India Telecom 2011 achieved 16 percent increased interest from first time
international brand names from 41 countries. These includes Arktavara,
