Keysight revenue dips 1% to $756 million in Q4

Keysight Technologies said its revenue fell 1 percent to $756 million in the fourth fiscal quarter ended October 31, 2015 – despite 8 percent growth in Asia Pacific.

Currency fluctuation was one of the main reasons for the 1 percent dip in Q4 revenue. Net income of Keysight Technologies increased 174 percent to $277 million.

American revenues of the test and measurement company dipped 3 percent to $294 million. Its revenue from Europe fell 5 percent to $137 million and declined 8 percent to $75 million in Japan. Keysight revenues rose 8 percent in Asia Pacific excluding Japan to $246 million.

Communications market revenues of Keysight Technologies grew 3 percent to $256 million, while aerospace and defense market revenues fell 5 percent to $168 million and industrial, computer, and semiconductor market revenues declined 2 percent to $332 million.

Measurement Solutions of Keysight generated $653 million revenue, while $153 million came from Customer Support and Services.

Ron Nersesian, president and CEO of Keysight, said: “Our recently announced organizational structure is the next step in driving increased focus on customer solutions and accelerating our growth initiatives in 2016.”

Keysight Technologies is targeting Q1 revenue of $702 million to $742 million.
