Huawei, a global information and communications technology
solutions provider, announced the launch of its enterprise business unit in
India with the launch of its high definition (HD) telepresence business system.
Huawei India also announced plans to hire 400 people by end
of 2012 to strengthen their enterprise business in India.
Enterprise business will be a major focus for the Chinese equipment
vendor globally in the coming years. Huawei is planning to post $15 billion
revenue from its global enterprise business by 2015.
Huawei offers a complete range of ICT products in its
enterprise business portfolio. As part of the enterprise business expansion
plan, the Chinese equipment vendor will focus on providing ICT solutions for
sectors like transport, energy telecom, finance and others.
Recently Huwaei debuted its enterprise business solutions at GITEX Technology Week 2011. The demonstration
comprised the entire range of Internet Protocol (IP) network solutions, cloud
computing, data center, server and storage solutions, unified communications
and collaboration (UC&C) solutions and industry integrated solutions, in addition to its telepresence,
videoconferencing, IP call centres, and video surveillance.
Huawei will leverage its existing partnerships with telecom
operators in India to strengthen the enterprise business. “We are in talks
with several operators who are bidding for many ICT infrastructure projects.
Enterprise business is giving big opportunities for us,” said A.

Huawei will position as a company which offers end-to-end enterprise solution
to customers. Huawei is known for cost effective solutions for telecom
equipments. Its innovative pricing strategies will increase competition in the
Indian enterprise market which is dominated by Cisco and others. The company
has already appointed distributors and partners for enterprise business.
The Chinese equipment major is entering a business which is
going through a tough phase. Alcatel-Lucent is exiting from its enterprise
business, while Cisco is cutting down on its manpower to improve profitability.
The Enterprise business is becoming increasingly important
here in India and associated IT applications are undergoing dramatic changes.
In light of this, the launch of Huawei’s new enterprise products coincides with
the growing willingness of enterprises to set up next-generation ICT
architecture,” said Eric Yu, president, Enterprise Business- Huawei India.
As part of our enterprise expansion plans here, Huawei will focus on providing
information and communication technology solutions (ICT solutions) for sectors
such as transport, energy, telecom, finance and others. In order to offer
enterprise users premium products and services, Huawei will continue developing
innovative enterprise networking products and solutions,” Yu added.
The Huawei Telepresence brings an immersive experience with
HD video and directional sound; effectively transcending the boundaries between
companies and partners distributed around the world. Huawei’s
Telepresence has been designed to include powerful processing capabilities to
render the best possible audio and video as well as security and cost effective
technologies.
In addition, Telepresence employs an array of innovative
technologies to reduce power consumption, enabling enterprises to operate in a
more energy-efficient manner.
