Enterasys Networks unveils Mobile IAM BYOD network solution

Telecom Lead Europe: Enterasys Networks, a Siemens
Enterprise Communications Company, has announced a new bring-your-own device
(BYOD) network solution called Enterasys Mobile IAM (Mobile Identity and
Access Manager).

The company claims that Enterasys
Mobile IAM appliance accelerates custom BYOD policy
enforcement, manages risk and delivers superior user experience for just $8 per
device.

BYOD environments are increasingly becoming the norm
for many enterprises and an important enabler of employee productivity and
improved user experience. Our new BYOD solution addresses these risks
by providing end-to-end visibility and granular control of application
delivery, usage of devices, and network resources,” said Chris Crowell,
president and CEO at Enterasys Networks.

Built upon OneFabric Security architecture,
Mobile IAM is designed to be implemented with no additional IT
staffing.

Enterasys Mobile IAM is powered by the Enterasys
Centralized Adaptive Provisioning Engine, which delivers granularity and
control by tracking over 50 attributes in real time.

With Mobile IAM we have an opportunity to help
our customers solve these issues more easily and cost effectively. Combining
the Mobile IAM appliance and deployment offering with our service
capabilities, we can deliver a simple, guaranteed BYOD solution into
existing network environments,” said Rohit Mehra, director, Enterprise
Communications Infrastructure, IDC.

The company is also offering a range of guaranteed services
that offer successful and timely installation, functionality and no additional
IT staffing.

Other services introduced include integration with any
Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, VDI deployments from VMware
and Citrix and threat management from Palo Alto Networks for secure BYOD
deployments.

The Enterasys Mobile IAM Appliance starts at
$20,995 for 3,000 devices and will be available in Q2 2012.

The company said that pricing will scale based on the number
of devices. The Mobile IAM professional services for 3,000 devices
are priced at $22,000.
