Comsearch launches new Microwave Planning Tool iQ.linkXG Solo

Comsearch, a CommScope
company, has made its powerful microwave network design and management tool
more accessible by releasing iQ.linkXG Solo, a PC-based, single-user edition of
its flagship microwave planning solution, iQ.linkXG Enterprise.

Like iQ.linkXG
Enterprise, the iQ.linkXG Solo solution enables the rapid design and management
of microwave links for backhaul or other fixed point-to-point and
point-to-multipoint networks, while maximizing spectrum efficiency.

Consultants, smaller
wireless operators and OEM managed service providers need the same rich feature
set of the iQ.linkXG Enterprise solution, but in an affordable package for
smaller projectsiQ.linkXG Solo offers the power they need at a price they can
afford,” said Brian Eichenser, director of software products, Comsearch.

The iQ.linkXG Solo
software solution can help network planners build, maintain, or upgrade highly
reliable microwave networks. Comsearch’s solution is designed to easily import
data from other planning software, making the transition to iQ.linkXG Solo a
seamless process.

Low quality planning
tools can lead to wasted spectrum, wasted time and increased equipment
costs.iQ.linkXG Solo enables users to plan high quality microwave networks
right the first time, avoiding costly mistakes and optimizing the use of
precious spectrum,” Eichenser added.

Comsearch  has
seen demand continue to grow for analytical tools that can enable rapid and
reliable deployment of expanding microwave networks. The company originally
launched iQ.link in 1990, and it has since been responsible for the deployment
of over three hundred thousand links worldwide.

Comsearch actively
participates in International Telecommunication Union (ITU) study groups and
maintains iQ.linkXG in accordance with the latest recommendations. iQ.linkXG
supports the full range of microwave frequency bands for point-to-point and
point-to-multipoint backhaul and fixed access in a broad range of wireless
systems including Cellular, PCS, GSM, UMTS, TETRA, 3G, WiMax, LTE and more.
