Telecom network operator Bharti Airtel on Thursday announced the roll out of its Platinum 3G services across Punjab and Hyderabad.
The 3G service will be launched in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Moga, Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur and Derabassi.
Airtel Platinum 3G will be available on the 900 MHz spectrum to customers through significantly enhanced indoor coverage, faster data speeds and better voice clarity. It will help optimise the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their mobile devices.
The combination of Airtel’s Platinum 3G and 4G LTE services across Punjab will offer customers the widest high speed mobile data network coverage, the spokesperson added.
Airtel’s high-speed 4G services, which are being offered using a combination of 1,800 MHz and 2,300 MHz technologies across Punjab, are currently available in over 50 towns across Punjab.
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel announced the launch of its Platinum 3G network for customers in Hyderabad. Airtel’s Platinum 3G will boost indoor coverage, enhance voice clarity, deliver faster internet speeds and offer a superior network experience for customers.
Airtel said it Platinum 3G is powered by dual band spectrum of both 900 Mhz and 2100 Mhz. This service does not require any additional subscription and is part of the network enhancement of Airtel’s existing 3G network. Airtel presently has covered almost all towns with 3G services and 4G services are available for customers in 15 towns in the state of Telangana.
