Telecom Lead @ Mobile World Congress 2013: The Aricent Group has launched its Connected Car and Connected Home solutions and services — powered by its LTE offerings.

Aricent’s LTE Connected Car offering enables automotive manufacturers to create innovative in-vehicle infotainment systems (IVI), media entertainment platforms, which help the automotive value chain to enrich infotainment services and provide a seamless extension of media experiences to the car. Users can leverage Aricent’s Connected Car solution to enable a number of services.

Meanwhile, The Aricent group has tied up with Emerson Network Power to provide application-ready computing platforms for 4G / LTE networks.

The pre integrated solution features Aricent’s Evolved Packet Core ‘EPC lite’ software framework on Emerson Network Power’s AdvancedTCA (ATCA) hardware enables network equipment providers and system integrators accelerate the development and deployment of cost-effective 4G LTE networks.

Aricent group on Monday announced the addition of VoLTE capabilities to its LTE offering comprising IMS client Application, eNodeB, EPC, and IMS Servers.

Aricent VoLTE Client is available on leading Android smartphones and is compliant to GSMA IR92 standard. The client is based on Aricent’s existing interoperable IMS Client, which is available on multiple platforms and devices including iOS, Android, Windows XP, and MAC. The IMS client controls LTE signaling for optimal QoS usage to ensure high quality for both voice and video calls. Aricent VoLTE client also supports RCS applications for rich service experience.

The Aricent Group and Mindspeed Technologies announced the launch of metrocell reference design, supporting 20MHz LTE FDD and throughputs of up to 150Mbps.
