BIA/Kelsey and the Asian Directory Publishers Association
(ADPAI) are partnering to produce ILM Asia, a forum for senior leaders in
directories and local, social and mobile digital media to explore new business
models and partnerships in Asia.
“The Asia-Pacific region includes some of the
world’s largest economies, as well as some of the most advanced markets in
terms of consumer adoption of digital media,” said Neal Polachek,
president, BIA/Kelsey.
“At BIA/Kelsey, we
track the activity of the SMB market so businesses have the insight they need
to make solid strategic and tactical decisions. There is a great deal of
activity across the full spectrum of BIA/Kelsey’s coverage areas that can shed
light on the Asian market,” Polachek added.
For years, BIA/Kelsey, adviser to companies in the local
media space, has been tracking the emergence of these media platforms through
its U.S.-based Interactive Local Media (ILM) conference series. This knowledge
will be brought to bear for the Asian market with ILM Asia.
“ILM Asia is a timely and highly relevant event for
our members and for any company participating in Asia’s digital media
economy,” said Oscar Sousa-Marques, president, ADPAI.
James Sanders, head of channel partnerships, Google Asia
Pacific, will deliver the keynote address on Day 1, offering Google’s vision
for the region. ILM Asia will take place Oct. 25-26 at Singapore’s elegant
Regent hotel.
In addition, BIA/Kelsey analysts Polachek and Charles
Laughlin will share the analyst firm’s outlook for the development of new
digital marketing platforms in the region and worldwide, including details of
its forecasts for global directional media, local online media and deals.
Other industry leaders will speak on topics ranging from
social media and mobile search to transformation strategies for traditional
media companies. In addition, the event will include a special forum on the
daily deals space, popularized by companies like Groupon and LivingSocial.
