Numericable taps Casa Systems’ C10G cable modem termination system

Telecom Lead Europe: Numericable has selected Casa Systems’ C10G cable modem termination system (CMTS).

Casa Systems’ CMTS will support Numericable’s rollout of Ultra High Speed Data (UHSD 100M+) and voice over IP (VoIP) services.

Numericable, France’s largest cable operator, has over 9.8 million homes.

The next generation cable edge technology provider says Numericable will deploy Casa’s C10G to allow for accelerated penetration of UHSD to its customer base.

“Numericable has been one of the leaders in deploying 100M+ DOCSIS services to its subscriber base,” said Jerry Guo, founder and CEO of Casa Systems.

Casa Systems’ approach enables cable operators to cost effectively and seamlessly migrate Casa’s C10G to CCAP functionality, offering scalable broadband services such as IPTV, MPEG video and interactive gaming, as well as traditional broadband access and VoIP services.
