How AT&T Fiber achieved fastest Internet provider rank in US

Ookla, in its Speedtest Connectivity Report, has named AT&T Fiber as the fastest fixed internet provider in the United States, achieving a Speed Score of 360.85, which is 34 percent faster than its nearest competitor Verizon.

Additionally, AT&T Fiber secured the title for the most consistent fixed internet service provider (ISP) with a Consistency Score of 95.2 percent, underscoring its reliability and superior performance.

The fastest ISP

AT&T Fiber is the fastest ISP in the U.S., based on Speedtest Intelligence data, with a Speed Score of 360.85. AT&T Fiber is ahead of the leading cable MSOs: Spectrum, Cox, and XFINITY, as well as Verizon. AT&T Fiber also recorded the fastest upload speed, of 288.31 Mbps.

The other leading fixed ISPs are Verizon, Cox, Xfinity, and Spectrum during the first half of 2024. Verizon has achieved Speed Score of 269.47. Cox has achieved Speed Score of 241.86. Xfinity has received Speed Score of 237.03. Spectrum received Speed Score of 228.26.

The best ISP in consistency

AT&T Fiber has also recorded the best fixed network Consistency in the U.S., with 95.2 percent of its customers meeting or exceeding the threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload throughput. Spectrum (92.8 percent), Xfinity (92.2 percent), Cox (91.6 percent), and Verizon (91.1 percent) in the next position in terms of fixed network Consistency in the U.S.

As the summer games heat up in Paris, AT&T Fiber takes the gold in the U.S. internet service arena. The Speedtest Connectivity Report by Ookla highlights AT&T Fiber’s dominance, marking it as the fastest and most reliable internet provider in the nation.

Download speed of AT&T Fiber was 348.86 Mbps. Verizon recorded the lowest latency, at 12 ms.
