Comcast hikes Capex by 15.8% to $10.6 bn in 2022

Comcast Corporation said Capital Expenditures increased 17.7 percent to $3.6 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Comcast investmentCable Communications’ capital expenditures increased 9.7 percent to $2.4 billion in Q4. NBCUniversal’s capital expenditures increased 82.6 percent to $916 million, reflecting increased investment in constructing the Epic Universe theme park in Orlando, which is scheduled to open in 2025. Sky’s capital expenditures decreased 43.9 percent to $186 million.

Comcast said capital expenditures increased 15.8 percent to $10.6 billion for the twelve months ended December 31, 2022. Cable Communications’ capital expenditures increased 9.2 percent to $7.6 billion. NBCUniversal’s capital expenditures increased $1.2 billion to $2.3 billion, reflecting the increased investment in constructing Epic Universe. Sky’s capital expenditures decreased 40.9 percent to $560 million.

Comcast reported revenue increased 0.7 percent to $30.6 billion with net income of $3 billion for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Comcast said revenue increased 4.3 percent to $121.4 billion with net income of $5.4 billion for the twelve months ended December 31, 2022.
