As part of the rural independent local exchange carriers’ (ILEC) enhanced service offering, Benton Ridge Telephone uses DASAN’s V5812 mini-OLTs, V5848 medium density OLTs and V8240 OLTs for its GPON FTTP network.

DASAN’s H690 outdoor residential ONTs and indoor H640 ONTs are used to provide voice, data and IPTV to residential subscribers, while DASAN’s V2824 and V2524G Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Layer 2 Ethernet switches with GPON are used to deliver enterprise-class business services.

“We are the primary service provider to our market and our customers depend on us to serve all their needs. DASAN provides us the right products for all our residential and business needs, and their support is excellent,” said Mark Miller, CFO of Benton Ridge.

Benton Ridge, a provider of residential triple play services including IPTV, broadband and cable, selected as its earlier FTTX deployment with another vendor for residential broadband was not up to the mark.

DASAN Networks offered GPON on a full Layer 3 switching platform: a broad portfolio of GPON ONT’s ranging from indoor and outdoor residential models for its triple play requirements to Layer 2 Ethernet switches with GPON interfaces to serve business customers.

“DASAN is pleased to be a part of Benton Ridge’s service success. DASAN’s global experience in PON deployment translates to offering a product-set with more advanced features and functionality, enabling us to provide a full-service solution to progressive service providers like Benton Ridge,” said Jack Bryant, VP of sales for DASAN Networks USA.
