AT&T data plans
Telecom network operator AT&T has expanded U-verse with AT&T GigaPower in Belton, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Lee’s Summit and Raymore.

AT&T customers – business and home users — can download 25 songs in less than 1 second, a TV show in 3 seconds or their favorite HD movie in less than 36 seconds by utilizing U-verse with AT&T GigaPower that offers Internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second.

The wireless operator launched GigaPower in the Kansas City area in February. It is available in parts of Independence and Kansas City, Mo., and parts of Fairway, Leawood, Lenexa, Mission Hills, Olathe, Overland Park, Prairie Village and Shawnee, Kan., and surrounding areas.

“We’re moving quickly to educate potential customers about the capabilities of AT&T’s high-speed Internet and television services,” said John Sondag, president of AT&T Missouri.

Customers who sign up for U-verse with AT&T GigaPower will also have access to U-verse TV and Voice services. New customers can watch and record up to 6 HD programs at the same time. AT&T GigaPower customers will also be able to record and store more of their favorite shows – up to 900 hours of SD or 330 hours of HD programming.

AT&T broadband customers can use the AT&T U-verse App on smartphones and tablets to watch more than 250 live TV channels in their home and more than 210 live TV channels while on the go. Customers can also stream video on demand, schedule DVR recordings and access other features from the U-verse app.

AT&T is offering U-verse with AT&T GigaPower in 17 metros today. AT&T plans to offer service in parts of the Jacksonville and St. Louis metros.

AT&T aims to reach more than 14 million residential and commercial locations, and expects to reach more than 1 million of these locations by the end of the year.
