Telecom Lead America: GENBAND, a developer of IP
infrastructure and application solutions, has launched a unified
messaging platform called the A2 Intelligent Messaging Manager (IMM).
The platform offers a suite of advanced, integrated voice
and messaging applications.
The company claims that the A2 IMM empowers service
providers and enterprises to deploy a range of carrier-grade, fully integrated
unified messaging services such as voicemail, voicemail-to-text, video mail,
visual messaging, fax messaging and automated attendant services.
Unifying any content to any endpoint, the A2 IMM simplifies
the way users access and view multiple message types such as email, voicemail,
video mail and fax messaging, with full synchronization across all their
devices,” said B.G. Kumar, president of GENBAND’s Multimedia Business Unit.
The A2 IMM offers advanced, feature-rich messaging solutions
that create new revenue streams and a superior user experience that greatly
improves the productivity and efficiency of business.
Using integrated speech-to-text capabilities of the A2, the
company said that voicemail messages are transcribed and can be viewed and
managed as email, allowing users to easily search, index, read, forward and
print voice messages.
Furthermore, the Automated Attendant service allows service
providers and enterprises to easily administer incoming call routing via
Web-based provisioning and routing options such as Dial by Extension, Dial by
Department, Dial by Name, External Routing, Time of Day Routing, General
Delivery Mailbox and Live Operator.

Recently, GENBAND introduced its GENBAND Rich Communications
Suite-enhanced (RCS-e) solution powered by the A2 Communications
Application Server and S3 Session Border Controller (SBC).
