T-Mobile picks OnMobile to provide contact engine for Android-based tablets

Telecom Lead India:
Mobile service provider T-Mobile has selected VAS provider OnMobile Global to
offer the contact synchronization engine for T-Mobile USA’s Android-based
wireless phones and tablets.

OnMobile currently provides the web user interface for T-Mobile’s
MobileLife online contacts, and the sync engine and Personal Information
Manager (PIM) for T-Mobile USA’s MobileLife Contacts.

“OnMobile’s enabling software suite is a key component
of our mobile cloud services that we offer to our subscribers. OnMobile has
proven over our six-year relationship that they are able to consistently
deliver top-quality and highly effective software,” said Mike Vance,
Director of Web and Cloud Services at T-Mobile.

OnMobile’s Sync Client provides automatic and transparent
contact synchronization that is initiated by any updates to Android devices,
including adding a new or modifying an existing contact.

OnMobile has a long history working with both T-Mobile USA
and T-Mobile Europe. We are very pleased to continue to enhance T-Mobile’s
offerings. The Sync Client makes updating and synching contacts completely
effortless delivering a high-level of quality to our customers,” said Arvind
Rao, CEO & co-founder, OnMobile.

OnMobile’s Sync Client provides several benefits to wireless
operators. Main advantages include: increase adoption and use of the service by
providing a single look and feel across devices for the wireless operator’s
subscribers and increase operational efficiency and lower maintenance
requirements by standardizing across devices.

OnMobile offers products in mobile entertainment, search and
discovery, data services and mobile social networking and is a leader in the
VAS managed services industry.
