Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election indicates that American technology majors need to face tough decisions from the White House.

A report in The WallStreet Journal said the election of Donald Trump as the next US president after 8-years of Barack Obama’s regime may throw doubt on the much discussed merger deal between AT&T and Time Warner and net neutrality. US President Barack Obama personally supported the net neutrality rules suggested by FCC.

A report in The Street said the news about Donald Trump elected as the US president is both bad and good news for technology companies such as Apple and Amazon. In fact Silicon Valley is waiting for more action from Donald Trump.

A report by Business Insider by Yahoo Finance indicates the likely impact on the mobile application industry in the US.

A report in the Market Watch said Trump’s vow to block AT&T–Time Warner tie-up creates a cloud over M&A market.

Satya Nadella on Trump

Congratulating Donald Trump for becoming the 45th US President, Microsoft’s Indian-born CEO Satya Nadella said he looks forward to working with all those elected.

“We witnessed the democratic process in action here in the US. The results are of importance around the world, and I know that interest is shared among Microsoft employees,” Nadella said in a statement posted on Microsoft-owned LinkedIn on Wednesday.

“We congratulate the president-elect, and look forward to working with all those elected yesterday. Our commitment to our mission and values are steadfast, and in particular fostering a diverse and inclusive culture,” Nadella added.
