NTT Docomo signs China Mobile to offer LTE roaming services

Telecom service provider NTT Docomo will offer roaming services on the TD-LTE network of China Mobile to Japan-based customers outbound.

NTT Docomo will be the first Japanese mobile operator to offer TD-LTE roaming in China. Docomo subscribers with compatible handsets will be able to enjoy the maximum150 Mbps speed on its LTE network.

With the China Mobile deal, Docomo international LTE roaming services now cover 27 countries and regions. China Mobile has nearly 50 million LTE subscribers.

NTT Docomo plans to partner with more mobile operators to ensure that Docomo customers can rely on its LTE roaming services while traveling abroad.
