Telecom Lead India: Subex, SAS, IBM and WeDo technologies
are the leading vendors in the global business optimization market, according
to a research report by Analysys Mason.
Subex possesses 8.1 percent market share, followed by SAS
and WeDo technologies with 6.8 percent and 6.1 percent market shares
respectively.
During the year 2011, HP’s market share recorded at 6.5
percent, while cVidya Networks and HP had 5.9 percent market shares each.
cVidya and Subex are the specialist vendors of the
business optimization market, while Oracle, IBM, SAP and SAS are generalist
analytics providers.
The report said the business optimization market is
highly fragmented with top-six vendors accounted for only 39 percent of revenue
in 2011.
However, the report suggested that the market
fragmentation will continue, as vendors new to the market launch products.
In 2011, the total revenues for the business optimization
market stood at $843 million.
The report said that Oracle Amdocs, AsiaInfo, Basset,
EMC, Fair Isaac (FICO), Razorsight, SAP, and TEOCO also posses decent revenue
share in the global business optimization market.
Revenue assurance and fraud management emerged as
core-micro segments of the business optimization market, dominated by a few
significant vendors, all of which expanded their businesses considerably in
2011.
The report said that Subex leads the market with strong
product offering in the business optimization sub-segment and growing
capability in analytics specific to CSPs.
Subex’s larger chunk of revenue came from EMEA (32.4
percent), followed by APAC region at 25.6 percent.
