Noida Airport’s 2026 Launch Hits Turbulence Over Telecom Fee Standoff

Noida International Airport, scheduled to launch in January 2026, is facing a telecom fee dispute that may affect digital connectivity and passenger services. The airport has proposed charging telecom operators ₹67 lakh per month per operator for network infrastructure deployment, a move operator say is excessive and inconsistent with Right of Way regulations that permit installations without such fees. The issue reflects wider concerns about cost structures, regulatory clarity, and long-term investment confidence in large infrastructure projects. To support advanced digital operations, the airport has partnered with Tech Mahindra to build an integrated Network and Security Operations Centre, enabling continuous IT monitoring and enhanced cybersecurity while laying the foundation for reliable, technology-driven airport services.
