Cisco announced several innovations, products and solutions for telecom operators and enterprise customers at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona.
T-Mobile
Cisco and T-Mobile announced plans to offer businesses Cisco Meraki’s 5G cellular gateways, the MG51 and MG51E, for fixed wireless access (FWA).
Cisco Meraki MG51 and MG51E cellular gateways introduce a 5G-powered , cloud-first way of doing wide area networking (WAN). T Mobile for Business customers will be able to take advantage of the cloud-native Cisco Meraki platform on 5G network. The T-Mobile managed service will offer a range of advanced capabilities based on the Cisco Meraki platform.

STC is expanding the use of cloud at an accelerated pace to maintain its competitive edge, accelerate innovation and transform interactions with digital services.

V.tal
Cisco announced it is working with V.tal to increase the capacity of its fiber-optic neutral network in Brazil to accelerate the delivery of 5G services.
V.tal is the owner of the largest infrastructure in the country with 450 thousand kilometers of terrestrial optical fiber connecting more than 2,380 municipalities in Brazil. V.tal has 19 million homes passed available for the provision of Fiber to the Home (FTTH).
Cisco’s converged, automated transport architecture with Routed Optical Networking and Segment Routing will make the deployment and management of the fiber-optic network easier and more cost-efficient, as well as increase capacity for V.tal.

Telstra announced a new agreement with Cisco to deploy an enhanced CPaaS channel built on the Webex Connect platform to deliver better customer experience, while achieving more efficiency and lowering the cost of service.

Cisco is working with automobile major Mercedes-Benz to provide an optimal mobile office experience in new Mercedes-Benz E Class vehicles; Webex by Cisco will serve as the luxury sedan’s first collaboration application.
Intel
Cisco and Intel aim to collaborate in building Global 5G Innovation Centers to test 5G applications and use cases to help drive growth and adoption of 5G for business.
NEC
Cisco and NEC’s enhanced collaboration efforts include system integration solutions and potential opportunities for automation, 5G, and routed optical networking to meet increasing customer demands across the world. NEC’s new 5G radio, UNIVERGE 1200, is in the process of being qualified with Cisco Private 5G.
NTT
NTT and Cisco plan to work together to co-innovate and bring to market the technology and value-added services that will enable enterprise customers to deploy Private 5G across the Automotive, Logistics, Healthcare, Retail, and Government sectors.
Qualcomm
Cisco and chipset major Qualcomm are combining efforts to simplify the automation, management, and orchestration of multi-vendor RAN systems to accelerate Private 5G benefits for enterprises.
