Ericsson suspends business in Russia and records SEK 0.9 bn provision

Telecom network maker Ericsson said it suspended all deliveries to customers in Russia — indefinitely.
Ericsson LTE network supplierEricsson is engaging with customers and partners regarding the indefinite suspension of the affected business.

Ericsson employees in Russia will be placed on paid leave.

Ericsson records a SEK 0.9 billion provision in the first quarter of 2022 for impairment of assets and other exceptional costs. The provision will be recorded in Other Operating Expenses in Segment Networks. Around one third of this amount will impact cash-flow, Ericsson said.
