T-Mobile has secured a major win for its 5G ambitions through a new multi-year exclusive agreement with Charter and Comcast to power mobile services for business customers across the U.S., beginning in 2026. The agreement highlights T-Mobile’s growing influence as a premier 5G network provider and underlines its leadership in the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) space.
Under the new deal, Charter and Comcast will offer mobile services using T-Mobile’s advanced 5G network through their respective Spectrum Mobile for Business and Comcast Business Mobile brands. The partnership enables the two cable giants to deliver enterprise-grade wireless connectivity by leveraging T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G infrastructure, while expanding their own bundled broadband and wireless solutions.
T-Mobile’s EVP and Chief Product and Digital Officer, Omar Tazi, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration: “This partnership complements what our T-Mobile for Business group already offers and expands the reach of T-Mobile’s network to even more business customers beyond those we currently serve.” He noted T-Mobile’s industry-leading customer growth and stressed that the agreement brings incremental value to the operator by tapping into a unique segment of business users traditionally served by broadband providers.
The arrangement is also a strategic advantage for Charter and Comcast, enabling them to expand mobile offerings without the capital-intensive burden of building cellular infrastructure. By aligning with T-Mobile, they gain access to the fastest and most expansive 5G network in the country, further enhancing their converged service portfolios for businesses.
Comcast Business President Edward Zimmermann described the deal as “capital-light” and central to the company’s wireless growth strategy, while Charter EVP Danny Bowman noted that combining their gig-powered internet and WiFi with T-Mobile’s premium 5G creates a “truly converged connectivity experience.”
T-Mobile, which has long operated in the MVNO market, adds this business-exclusive agreement to its extensive MVNO portfolio. Charter and Comcast, meanwhile, continue their existing MVNO relationship with Verizon to serve residential and current business mobile customers.
The new deal underscores T-Mobile’s expanding role as the go-to 5G wholesale provider, reinforcing its market leadership by supporting more than 18 million mobile lines operated by Comcast and Charter since their wireless debuts. Financial details of the agreement remain undisclosed.
