Jio Platforms Q2 FY26 Results: Revenue Surges 14.9% to Rs 42,652 Crore; Subscriber Base Crosses 500 mn with Strong 5G and AirFiber Growth

Jio Platforms reported a strong financial and operational performance for the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2 FY26), driven by momentum in subscriber additions, rapid 5G adoption, and accelerated JioAirFiber rollout across India.

Jio Reports Robust Financial Performance

For Q2 FY26, Jio Platforms posted a revenue of ₹42,652 crore, up 14.9 percent year-on-year (YoY), and an EBITDA of ₹18,757 crore, up 17.7 percent YoY. The growth was supported by higher data consumption, a growing subscriber base, and increased adoption of premium digital services.

Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) increased to ₹211.4, reflecting higher customer engagement despite temporary impact from promotional 5G offers. The company maintained a stable monthly churn rate of 1.9 percent while adding 8.3 million new mobile subscribers during the quarter.

Jio Subscriber Base Crosses 500 Million

Jio achieved a major milestone in September 2025, crossing 506 million total subscribers, cementing its position as the largest telecom operator in India and one of the biggest globally.
During the quarter, Jio added more than 1 million new homes every month, taking its total fixed broadband connections to approximately 23 million.

JioAirFiber, the company’s next-generation wireless broadband solution, continued its strong growth trajectory, reaching a subscriber base of 9.5 million and maintaining its global leadership position in fixed wireless access.

Explosive Growth in 5G and Data Usage

JioTrue5G continues to expand rapidly across India, with 234 million users now on its 5G network. 5G traffic now accounts for over 50 percent of Jio’s total wireless data usage, underscoring the rapid shift to next-generation connectivity.

Data consumption per user reached a record 38.7 GB per month, while overall data traffic rose 29.8 percent YoY to 58 Exabytes during the quarter — among the highest globally.

This massive surge in data demand has been supported by Jio’s stand-alone 5G architecture, which enables high-speed connectivity and network reliability across both urban and rural markets.

Customer Engagement and Anniversary Celebrations

To mark its 500 million subscriber milestone and the 9th anniversary of Jio, the company rolled out multiple customer-centric offers, including:

Unlimited data over the anniversary weekend

Free one-month service on timely recharges

2 percent extra digital gold via Jio Finance partnership

Vouchers worth up to ₹3,000 for select users

These initiatives highlight Jio’s continued focus on delivering value, enhancing loyalty, and rewarding its growing customer base.

Product Innovation: JioBharat, JioAICloud, and JioPC

At India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Jio unveiled new innovations aimed at deepening digital inclusion and AI adoption:

JioBharat “Safety-First” Phones:
Introduced with advanced safety and location-tracking features, allowing families to monitor children, elderly parents, and dependents securely. The phones are priced starting at ₹799 and available across multiple channels.

JioAICloud Enhancements:
Introduced AI-powered albums with face tagging, and voice search in Hindi and English, empowering 42 million users to manage and share content seamlessly. The platform aligns with Jio’s goal to democratize AI and cloud storage for India’s digital ecosystem.

JioPC Upgrades:
Enhanced with a built-in AI Assistant for real-time content generation and desktop automation.
JioWorkspace was integrated into JioPC, offering Office 360-like productivity tools.
Additionally, Jio launched an AI Classroom Foundation Course, in partnership with Jio Institute, providing hands-on training in AI for productivity and creativity.
