Zain Group has reported strong financial performance for the third quarter (Q3) and nine months (9M) ended September 30, 2025.
Zain Group has achieved a 16-year high revenue of KD 1.7 billion (USD 5.4 billion) for the 9M period, marking a 15 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase, while net income rose 31 percent to KD 178 million (USD 581 million).
In Q3 2025, revenue of Zain grew 16 percent to KD 582 million (USD 1.9 billion), and net income reached KD 57 million (USD 187 million), up 5 percent. Zain now serves 51.3 million customers, reflecting 9 percent annual growth across its eight markets in the Middle East and Africa.
Kuwait:
Zain Kuwait maintained market leadership with 2.6 million customers. Q3 2025 revenue rose 5 percent to KD 99 million (USD 323 million), while net income reached KD 20 million (USD 64 million). For the nine-month period, net income was KD 60 million (USD 196 million). Data revenue grew 4 percent, representing 36 percent of total revenue, supported by ongoing investments in 5G-Advanced networks, AI, and monetization initiatives.
Saudi Arabia:
Zain KSA’s Q3 2025 revenue increased 6 percent to USD 733 million, with net income up 2 percent to USD 41 million. For 9M 2025, net income rose 16 percent to USD 99 million. The operator’s 8.6 million customers benefited from expanded 5G coverage (67 percent of the country) and a 4 percent rise in data revenue, representing 40 percent of total revenue. Growth was driven by digital platforms, AI-led monetization, and Fintech (Tamam) performance, which saw a 23 percent YoY revenue increase.
Iraq:
Zain Iraq achieved strong growth with Q3 revenue up 20 percent to USD 342 million and 9M revenue up 18 percent to USD 942 million. The customer base expanded 5 percent to 20.4 million, maintaining its market leadership. Q3 net profit rose 19 percent to USD 47 million, and 9M profit climbed 21 percent to USD 113 million, supported by a solid 38 percent EBITDA margin.
Sudan:
Zain Sudan delivered a remarkable rebound, with Q3 revenue up 147 percent to USD 143 million and EBITDA up 262 percent to USD 82 million (57 percent margin). Q3 net income surged 77 percent to USD 59 million, while 9M net income rose 92 percent to USD 171 million. The customer base jumped 39 percent to 12.2 million, driven by network restoration (650 sites) and 4G upgrades (315 sites), fueling subscriber recovery and revenue growth.
Jordan:
Zain Jordan posted 8 percent revenue growth to USD 152 million in Q3 2025, with net income of USD 20 million. For 9M 2025, net income increased 7 percent to USD 59 million. The company served 4.3 million customers (up 1 percent), maintaining market leadership. Data revenue grew 14 percent, representing 54 percent of total revenue, supported by 5G, FTTH, and 4G expansion.
Bahrain:
Zain Bahrain reported 3 percent revenue growth to USD 52 million in Q3 2025, with net income rising 1 percent to USD 4.4 million. For 9M 2025, net income increased 3 percent to USD 11 million. Data revenue grew 5 percent, making up 46 percent of total revenue, reflecting stable performance in a competitive market.
