Telecom operator Vodafone India has expanded SuperNet 4G network in Navi Mumbai.
Vodafone 4G is now available in Vashi, Kopar Khairane, Airoli, Nerul, Belapur and Kharghar in Navi Mumbai.
In addition to Mumbai, Vodafone 4G services on 1800 MHz spectrum are available in select towns in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata and Delhi NCR which today contribute close to 50 percent of Vodafone India data revenues.
Vodafone has made investment in fiber backhaul of 100G before rolling out 4G services in select telecom circles.
Data revenue from Mumbai is around 30 percent of total revenues.
Ishmeet Singh, business head – Mumbai, Vodafone India, said: “With this launch, majority of Mumbai is covered by Vodafone SuperNet 4G and we expect to achieve complete coverage by end March 2016.”
