Vodafone Idea Unveils New Vi Logo and Brand Identity with 3D Sphere, Shah Rukh Khan Joins New Campaign

Telecom operator Vi has unveiled a refreshed brand identity, introducing a dynamic three-dimensional sphere as the centrepiece of its new visual language as the company seeks to reposition itself as a more future-ready technology and connectivity brand.

Vi New Identity in India

The biggest visible change is the transformation of Vi’s familiar signature visual particle into a rounder, fuller and more dynamic 3D sphere. The sphere has also been repositioned to the top of the Vi identity, compared with its previous placement.

Vi says the added depth and movement are designed to convey energy, optimism and the possibilities the company sees as it enters its next phase of growth. Rather than abandoning a familiar brand asset, Vi has evolved an element already recognised by customers into a more contemporary visual form.

The refreshed identity is therefore more than a change in logo treatment. It is intended to signal Vi’s broader evolution from a conventional telecom operator into a technology company that combines connectivity with digital experiences and enterprise solutions. The new identity will begin appearing progressively across consumer touchpoints, digital platforms, retail stores and brand communications from September 1, 2026.

Shah Rukh Khan Becomes Face of Vi’s New Campaign

Vi has also brought Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on board as the face of its upcoming campaign, “Vi badal raha hai… tayaar rahiye”, or “Vi is changing… be ready.”

The teaser campaign is designed to build anticipation around a broader transformation that Vi plans to reveal over the coming weeks. Shah Rukh Khan’s association is intended to represent the energy, ambition and optimism that Vi wants customers to associate with its next phase.

Vodafone Idea CEO Abhijit Kishore said the development should not be viewed simply as a logo refresh but as the first visible expression of the evolution taking place across the brand.

According to Kishore, Vi wants to shape telecom into an experience that makes customers’ lives more rewarding and creates greater possibilities. The company plans to support the refreshed identity with strategic launches, new campaigns and customer experiences over the coming weeks.

Vi Brand Transformation Goes Beyond New Logo

The brand refresh comes as Vi seeks to present itself as a resurgent and future-ready telecom company backed by network expansion, new services and an increased emphasis on customer experience.

At the centre of the strategy is Vi’s ambition to evolve from primarily providing mobile connectivity into becoming a broader technology partner for both consumers and enterprises. Connectivity will remain the backbone, but the company wants its brand to increasingly represent digital experiences, innovation and technology-enabled services.

Vi is positioning the transformation around its internal philosophy of “Employee First, Customer Always, Experience is Everything.” At the same time, the operator says it intends to retain established attributes of the Vi brand, including its telecom heritage, customer trust, innovative offerings and focus on customer experience.

The new 3D sphere provides the visual expression of that strategy. Its movement and greater depth are intended to communicate a more energised Vi while retaining continuity with the brand customers already know.

For Vi, the refreshed identity also provides a platform for communicating the changes taking place across its network, services and customer engagement strategy. The company has been expanding its telecom network and introducing innovation-led offerings as it works to strengthen its competitive position in the Indian telecom market.

The September 1 rollout represents the beginning rather than the completion of the transformation. Vi says additional launches, campaigns and experiences will follow, making the new identity the first step in a wider effort to reshape how consumers and enterprises interact with the brand.
