Vodafone India said all its 4G pre-paid customers will receive double data benefits on existing market packs.
This offer is applicable on all 4G market packs starting from Rs 255.
Vodafone 4G pre-paid customers can get 20 GB data on purchasing Rs 999 pack. This means, the cost of 1GB will be Rs 50 / GB. Customers can use high speed uninterrupted data for high definition video streaming, mobile gaming and two-way seamless video calling.
Reliance Jio, a 4G venture promoted by Mukesh Ambani, last week announced that the company will extend the free voice and data offers till March 31, 2017.
Vodafone India has already announced a data package for Rs 24 per month.
Earlier, Vodafone offered 9GB of data free on purchase of 1GB pack for 4G handsets and revamped Vodafone RED for high end voice and data users.
“We expanded our 4G footprint to 9 circles by launching services in 4 new circles. With the spectrum bought recently, we will roll out the Vodafone SuperNet 4G experience rapidly to 2400 towns and in 8 additional circles by March,” said Sunil Sood, managing director and CEO of Vodafone India.
Vodafone India’s data (Browsing) revenue was at INR 4,617 crore in H1FY17 (+18.8 percent).
The company achieved 51 percent growth in 3G / 4G users to 35.9 million.
3G and 4G revenues of Vodafone India grew 36.2 percent, contributing to over 72 percent to data (browsing) revenue and volume in H1FY17.
Data ARPU for users > 1MB of Vodafone India reached Rs 164 in Q2 FY17 from Rs 158 in Q2 FY16.
