Vizada and ARINC renew contracts for mobile satellite services

Vizada, an independent satellite communications provider,
and ARINC, a provider of aeronautical services for commercial airlines, business
aviation and government customers, announced that the companies are extending
and renewing their contract agreements to provide Inmarsat Classic Aero voice
and data services over both Inmarsat’s I-4 and I-3 satellite networks.

These multi-year agreements mark the continuation of a
relationship spanning two decades that includes the provision of both fixed
(FSS) and mobile (MSS) satellite services to commercial and government aviation
customers.

“ARINC is the leading provider of communications and
engineering solutions to the commercial and government aeronautical markets,
which are critical business areas for Vizada,” said Bob Baker, CEO, Vizada
Americas.

“We are pleased that our satellite communications
services meet the high service standards ARINC requires for their broad
offerings including safety of flight services. The long term relationship
between ARINC and Vizada has provided the aviation
industry leading edge technology and reliability for Inmarsat services,”
Baker added.

The companies also team together to provide land based
satellite solutions for both government and commercial customers.

Vizada recently announced that it is supporting the
launch
of the new Iridium Extreme rugged handheld with location-based services.

As an official Iridium Extreme launch partner, Vizada is
working with Iridium to equip Vizada Partners with everything they need to get
this product in the hands of users quickly and easily.
