The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRA) has released the latest Drive Test results for Andhra Pradesh, covering Eluru City and nearby regions. The tests were conducted between 11 November and 13 November 2025 across 348.6 kilometers and eight hotspot locations. The assessment included 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks to reflect real-world mobile performance across urban, institutional, and rural environments.
Below is a detailed breakdown of network performance by Airtel, BSNL, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea (Vi).
Key Findings from TRAI’s Drive Test in Eluru City
1. Call Setup Success Rate
Airtel and Jio achieved one hundred percent call setup success rate, while Vi recorded 96.90 percent and BSNL reported 92.84 percent.
2. Call Setup Time
Airtel: 0.95 seconds
BSNL: 2.42 seconds
Jio: 0.73 seconds
Vi: 0.70 seconds
Jio and Vi offered the fastest call setup experience.
3. Drop Call Rate
Airtel and Vi reported zero percent drop call rate.
Jio recorded 0.24 percent.
BSNL had the highest at 1.80 percent.
4. Silence or Mute Call Rate
Airtel and Jio reported zero percent mute call issues.
Vi logged 0.64 percent.
BSNL showed a higher silence rate at 3.85 percent.
5. Voice Quality (Mean Opinion Score)
Airtel: 3.98
Jio: 3.87
Vi: 3.84
BSNL: 2.56
Airtel led in perceived voice quality, while BSNL lagged behind.
6. Poor Signal Strength Observation
Airtel: 3.42 percent
Jio: 4.11 percent
Vi: 14 percent
BSNL: 20.12 percent
BSNL and Vi showed larger coverage gaps compared to Airtel and Jio.
