M6 Group selects Anevia for multi-site IPTV head-end

Anevia announced that M6 Group has selected its IP video
products for building a multi-site IPTV head-end for channel monitoring,
internal distribution, and rights management.

The M6 Group chose Anevia to supply its headquarters, just outside of Paris in Neuilly sur
Seine, with an IPTV head-end solution over a fiber optic network to replace a
legacy coaxial and twisted pair based system.

The M6 Group is the private owner of several popular
French TV channels including the free M6, W9 channels, the pay-TV channels
Paris Premiere, Teva, TF6, Serie Club, and M6 Music, and the M6 Boutique La
Chaine shopping channel.

Anevia built a solution for the M6 group based on its
ViaLive DVB to IP gateway and Toucan video server for VOD and nPVR recording
features.

The Anevia IPTV head-end streams multiple live video
channels across all the M6 offices and production studios to thousands of HD
video monitors as well as through the M6 intranet.

“Our open video streaming technology is designed to
support multiple devices and applications,” said Vincent Meddour, regional
sales director at Anevia. “We are very pleased that M6 has chosen our
solution as it’s a perfect fit to their multi-site network environment.”
