Reliance Jio has reported operations revenue of Rs 12,354 crore, EBITDA of Rs 5,166 crore with EBITDA margin of 41.8 percent during the second quarter of fiscal 2019-2020.
ARPU reached Rs 120 per subscriber per month.
Reliance Jio’s mobile phone user base touched 355.2 million as on 30th September 2019 – registering 40.8 percent growth. Reliance Jio achieved the lowest churn in the telecom industry at 0.74 percent per month.
Reliance Jio said its wireless data traffic reached 1,202 crore GB by clocking 55.9 percent growth. Total voice traffic reached 81,262 crore minutes by registering 52.2 percent growth during the second quarter.
“Jio crossed the 350 million subscriber mark to remain the world’s fastest growing digital services company, and we are still adding more than 10 million new customers every month,” Mukesh D. Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, said.
Reliance Jio added 24 million subscribers during the quarter and 103 million during the previous twelve months.
Jio has average data consumption per user per month of 11.7 GB as compared with 11.4 GB per user per month in the previous quarter and average voice consumption of 789 minutes per user per month.
Jio has achieved more than 3x increase in voice and data traffic on its network, over the past two years.
After trials of FTTH services, Jio rolled out Home and Enterprise services on 12 August 2019. It has received interest across the 1,600+ cities where the services would be launched initially.
